This reduction for  twelve instruments recreates the complete score of the 1786 Viennese premiere, including all numbers and recitatives, based on the authorized critical edition issued by Bärenreiter in 2006.  Excluded from this edition are two arias from Act IV: Marcellina's "Il capro e la capretta", and Don Basilio's "In quegl'anni, in cui val poco”.

The clarinet and horn parts are written in the original keys indicated in the critical edition. The two horn parts can be condensed to one.
